Student Commute Patterns

The following maps summarize the pattern and number of the areas where students travel to school. In every map, each color represents a ward or Comprehensive Plan planning area where students live. The size of the circle represents the number of students. (The circle is located in the center of the geographic area for ease of interpretation.) The thickness of the corresponding line represents the number of students traveling to another area to attend school. In most areas, the majority of students attend school in the area they live. Cross-area commuting tends to be limited to nearby areas. Select different options in the filter menus to view patterns for students in other geographies, school years, sector, and grade bands.
